Sweet  I n t e n t i o n s  was born when we, Sharon and Claudia, decided to bring our creativity together, to share our passion for color, details and sweet flavors with you!

About Shar: I was born and raised in the Chicago area, and I lived in several places before

I moved to Colorado on July of 2011 with my husband Justin and daughter Lexi. I love to have

a healthy life style, take care of myself and more than anything take care of the people that

surround me. On a good day I love to share a great glass of wine with my friends and chat

about our dreams and future plans. I spend most of my time having fun and taking

care of my family.

Food and healthy cooking have always been at the center of my family.  Growing up I always

saw my mom taking the time to cook fresh food every day for us. I only appreciated the time

she was investing in cooking until I had my own family. One day I was looking for a fun treat

for my daughter Lexi's 2nd Birthday. That is when I discovered how to make candy pretzels. I

started playing around, testing  and investigating new techniques and became very engaged

because it turned into a therapeutic  space in my life. Every time I would be in the kitchen, I

felt it was turning into a quiet scape where I could play around and come up with new ideas.

I love to bring treats for my friends and their parties. I am now known as the Treat Lady.

About Claudia: I was born in Germany and raised in Santiago, Chile. I moved to the

United States in 2002 with my husband Juan Pablo to get our Graduate degrees. Our plan was

to stay only for 3 years and then return to Chile, but here we are after 11 years. I am a mom to

three wonderful kids; Sofia, Juan Pablo Junior and Ema. We have lived in Colorado since March

of 2010 and have learned a lot about healthy life, fitness and the outdoors. Since we moved to

Colorado I decided to stay home and take care of my family.

I grew up following my Mom and Grandmother around the kitchen, specially when they were

baking a sweet treat. I loved to just observe how things were done. I never realized how much

knowledge I was absorbing. I like to cook following recipes, but I also like to venture adding a

little bit of my own ideas. Being a native of Chile and having lots of friends from around the

world have definitely influenced my cooking style. I love to share recipes and learn new dishes,

specially desserts and sweet treats.

Right before our move to Colorado my very good friend Chivi, and Godmother of my son JP,

taught me the basics of cake piping bag decoration and fondant. We only had a 2-hour session

where she walked me through decorating a cake she was making for a Baby Shower. Somehow she managed to tell me the most important tips and advice that were enough to get me excited and eager to put my own energy into trying whatever ideas came to my mind. I became an Architect in Chile right before I moved to the U.S. And having that degree I am a fairly crafty person and it has definitely helped me in designing and planning how to structure my cakes,

giving me the freedom to let my mind and hands fly. With having this experience and background I started decorating cakes and cup cakes for my kids' Birthdays. This was the best present I could ever offer to each of them.

How Sweet  I n t e n t i o n s was Born: In July 2011 I, Shar, was walking

the trails at the Red-Tailed Hawk Park in South Aurora, Colorado. I had stopped to

make sure there were no snakes around my daughter Lexi as my husband had told

me (of course that really made me want to be out there walking). Along came this

pretty lady pushing her 4 month-old baby in a stroller. She said Hello and

commented on the car I had been pushing Lexi in. After two seconds chatting we

would have thought we knew each other for years. We continued to walk together

and along came this smiley lady handing a pamphlet and inviting us to join her

Stroller Strides group (a Fitness program for moms and kids). We continued to walk

together talking about the pamphlet and what a great idea it would be to try it.

That day we ended up walking 4 and a half miles together and exchanging phone

numbers. From there our friendship just blossomed.

Since then we have been part of the Stroller Strides family. Attending classes together, our children became friends, and we started participating in birthday parties, baby showers, and all sorts of outings together. To everyone's surprise Claudia started producing these beautiful yet amazing cakes. I made tons of candy coated pretzels that started to become a hit. We both did it for fun and as a special gift for the parties we attended. And yet everyone kept telling us that we should do something together and get our products out there. As any mother knows it's hard to think outside the box and plan a business adventure when your head is always full of to-do lists, specially when we were only doing this as something to keep us sane and have an outlet for our selves.

Nevertheless, now almost a year and a half later we have joined to share our SWEET INTENTIONS, creativity and love for making custom sweet treats to suit your every need. Whether it is a Birthday Party, Baby Shower, Holiday Party, Work event, etc. We are here to help!

Our hallmark is to offer a quality product that tastes & looks good inside & out... and that is uniquely yours!
