An alfajor or alajú (Spanish pronunciation: [alfaˈxor]; derived from Arabic: الفاخر‎, "luxury", "exquisite") is a traditional confection found in some regions of Spain and in parts of Latin America, including Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Mexico (source: Wikipedia.org).

 

Alfajores consist of two round (*), sweet biscuits joined together w/ dulce de leche or marshmallow filling, coated w/ milk or white chocolate or simply covered w/ powdered sugar or coconut.

Biscuits main ingredients are: flour, cocoa, honey and sugar.

 

Alfajores are Individually wrapped and sold in bags or boxes (**) and are a PERFECT PRESENT for someone special who you want to surprise!
